Scottish nationalists, advocating a new referendum on the country’s independence, risk being left without an absolute majority in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
This is evidenced by the results of a sociological study by Savanta Comres and The Scotsman, conducted among 1001 adult Scots from April 30 to May 4.
As you know, the plebiscite intends to organize the Scottish National Party, thereby opposing the British government of Boris Johnson. However, the poll showed that the nationalists will not have enough 6 seats to get an absolute majority in the local parliament.
“If this poll data is confirmed in Thursday’s vote, it is likely to result in the Scottish National Party not gaining a majority”, – said Chris Hopkins, director of policy research at Savanta Comres.
