FORT WAYNE, Ind. - (Complete Honors) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) released its 2021 Men's Hockey Honors in conjunction with the conference tournament.
Last year's Newcomer of the Year was named this year's Player of the Year as Alex Klekotka of Aquinas. This year's Newcomer of the Year went to Quinn Bieniek of Concordia.
Concordia head coach David Wohlberg was voted as Coach of the Year after coaching the Cardinals from last place in 2020 to third place this year. Champions of Character Coach went to Aquinas head coach Jordan Permoda for his commitment to the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and leadership on and off the ice.
First and Second Team All-Conference were named along with All-Academic (juniors or above in academic standing with 3.25 cumulative GPA) and Champions of Character Team (one player from each school who best exemplifies the five core character values).
