THE time has come – Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder do battle in their huge heavyweight rematch tonight.
But when does it all start underway? Don’t worry – we’ve got you covered with our full guide…
Heavy!
Both fighters came in a STONE heavier than they did in their original fight, putting the emphasis very much on power tonight.
Wilder weighed in a career-heaviest 16st 7lbs, while Fury weighed in 19st 7lbs.
Fury has only weighed in more than this once in his career – his comeback fight against Sefer Seferi in June 2018 when he weighed in 19st 10lbs.
The chief support is Charles Martin (remember him?) against Gerald Washington in an IBF heavyweight title eliminator.
Martin was dethroned as champion by Anthony Joshua in two ferocious rounds back in April 2016.
Fury: “Happy with the weight, even happier with the crowd. He’s trying to put on a bit of beef, he needs more power, we all do, so it’s going to be an early night for someone.
“230lbs to 273lbs, [Wilder’s] a lightweight.”
Wilder: “My power is God-given; I don’t have to do anything at all. I don’t have to lift weights or do a special type of cardio; it’s born with me. It’s an amazing feeling to have it and to be in this position, out of all the things I could be doing, God placed me in this position.
“As fighters, we are free in this sport, we say as we please with less consequences, so when I use my platform, I use it well. If people see what I do in my occupation and see that I bring the greatness out of myself, then that will translate to people that look up to me.”
