How this Pixar storyboard artist made 'Float,' a Disney+ short about his autistic son
"Float" is close to the heart of director Bobby Rubio. He’s worked at Pixar as a storyboard artist for 12 years, moving to the Bay Area for the job when his wife was pregnant with twins. One of his children, Alex, was diagnosed with autism at age two. The challenge of raising him inspired the short.
