Anthony Johnson is looking to return to the UFC for a megafight with Jon Jones, and ‘Bones’ seems eager to take ‘Rumble’ up on his offer.
Jones, the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion, said he is ‘cool’ with Johnson but would have no problem choking him out if that’s what the heavy hitting knockout artist is looking for (perhaps a subtle diss at ‘Rumble’s’ submission losses to Daniel Cormier, Vitor Belfort, Josh Koscheck and Rich Clementi).

Johnson, 35, announced earlier this month that he would be coming out of retirement and looking to return to the UFC in the new year. The Florida-based fighter and former UFC light heavyweight title challenger has bulked up considerably since he last fought in 2017, and is expected to return to the cage as a heavyweight.
As well as teasing of a potential superfight with Jones, Johnson has also expressed interest in a heavyweight slugfest with feared knockout artist Francis Ngannou.
“I think the scariest guy in the division for them is Francis [Ngannou]. The scariest, not the best but the scariest,” Johnson said.
“I think him and I will meet eventually but most people just want the fight,” he continued. “To me and hopefully to Francis, it has to happen at the right time,” Johnson explained. “Not just a fight happen, just to get everybody else’s rocks off. If I fight Francis, I want it to be for something serious. Not just a fight, a main event fight. Let us fight for the title, that way it really counts. Not just getting everybody else’s rocks off and just beating each other up for no reason.”
Jones is expected to defend his light heavyweight title early next year, although no opponent has been announced just yet.
