So I finally finished my first bike build (gonna post that tomorrow) that I've been working on for a while now and I decided to take it for a spin on my regular commute route to clean up some mess that I vowed to clean up once the build is finished.
Here in Wales, we have quite a large community of quadbiker hicks that ride around and cause a ruckus. Near one lights crossing, there's this wasteland that's just been levelled out with rocks which are quite large, around 40cm in width and height.
Some idiot thought it would be a great idea to doughnut around in the rock pit and litter the entire pavement next to it with the stones. It's been like that for months since.
So I just got on the bike with an outdoor broom and put it right. Someone has to take responsibility so I figured I'll do it, even if it's just for me. I've got a buddy that also rides the same route, I'm sure he'll appreciate it.
Have any of you ever taken it up on yourselves to clean up your local bike route? Let's hear it.
Kret :D
