As the calendar began to move out of March, the Kentucky Derby radar was already out. And it splashed all over a bay colt named War of Will. Before he ran in the Louisiana Derby on March 23, there were people in the industry saying War of Will was the horse to beat on the first Saturday in May at Churchill Downs.
