Marquise Goodwin knew last November would be tough as it would mark a year since the 49ers wide receiver’s wife, Morgan, had to deliver their son stillborn at 19 weeks.
It took a lot of strength, he said, but they made it through that week — then “we experienced another traumatic event.”
While Marquise was in Tampa with the 49ers for their Nov. 25 game, Morgan experienced complications in a pregnancy they had kept secret since training camp. The Goodwins revealed Wednesday in an emotional video posted to their YouTube channel that they had lost twin boys, again at 19 weeks.
She said she woke up at 3 a.m. with severe contractions and rushed to the hospital.
“They were so bad my water broke,” Morgan said.
