The Reshetnev University in Krasnoyarsk has developed the ReshUCube1 satellite, which travelled 90 million kilometres into space. The first "commemorative photo" has been obtained. This was reported by the Sibnovosti news agency, a partner of the TV BRICS network.
The institution noted that ReshUCube1 was launched on 9 August. By 18 December, the satellite had made 1999 rotations around the planet and at 17:30 it began its 2000th rotations.
The first transmitted photo shows the area around the famous Lake Balkhash in Kazakhstan. It is the second largest non-drying, semi-saline lake in the world and the 14th largest lake in the world.
