Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the authorities do not intend to impose severe restrictions due to the situation with the coronavirus. According to him, the government has no such plans. He explained the increase in mortality in the country by a more thorough fixation of the causes of death.
“Regarding the possibility of tough, total restrictive measures – we do not plan to do this, the government has no such plans,” said Mr Putin at a meeting with board members of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP). According to him, targeted measures are justified and will continue. The introduction of new restrictions will be discussed with the business.
The President believes that it is necessary to roll out vaccination against coronavirus throughout the country. In his opinion, the export of vaccines is important, but secondary. He called the creation of production facilities to increase the production of the drug as the main task. “In this case, I appeal to entrepreneurs who are engaged in this type of activity – to become more involved in this work … All of them (vaccines – Kommersant) work, work effectively, people need them. Well, this is a good business, ”the president said. According to him, the annual turnover of the Russian vaccine could reach $ 100 billion.
