Juventus considering move for Arsenal-owned defender again
Reports in Italy claim that Juventus are interested in a potential deal for former Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior, who is currently on loan with an obligation to buy at Primeira Liga side Porto.
Juventus circle back to Kiwior
According to Tuttosport, Juventus are keen to add to their defensive department this summer, and are still holding out for a free transfer for AFC Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi, but Kiwior remains of interest as well.
This is not the first time that Juventus have been linked with a move for the Poland international, who has Serie A experience on his CV from his time with Spezia. Juventus were also said to be interested in him at various stages of 2024 and 2025 as well.
According to the most recent report, Juventus see Kiwior as a potential option to compete with, or potentially even replace Lloyd Kelly on the left-hand side of Luciano Spalletti’s defence.
Kiwior is currently out on loan at Porto from Arsenal in a deal that includes an option to buy worth €23m including bonuses and add-ons.
Tuttosport claims that Juventus sporting director Marco Ottolini has recently been to Portugal, and suggests that talks over a potential deal for Kiwior were likely on the agenda.
Tuttosport adds that Porto will be seeking a fee in the region of €35m to sell Kiwior this summer, which would bring them an immediate profit after activating their option to buy clause.
