KENT — Two of the better players to hail from the Greater Akron high school basketball scene in recent years, guards Caitlyn Holmes and Izzy Callaway simultaneously received their first real tastes of the Wagon Wheel rivalry on Jan. 17. Holmes and the Kent State University women’s team defeated Callaway and the University of Akron 91-79 at the M.A.C. Center. Holmes is an Akron native who graduated from Ellet last year.
