Paddy Pimblett has been part of the UFC roster for more than three years, and throughout that time has made himself a polarizing figure in the UFC lightweight division.
The British standout has yet to be beaten inside the octagon, however, and his lone performance in 2024 marked the biggest win of his career. “The Paddy” delivered a Submission of the Year contender vs. King Green at UFC 304 in July, which followed a new contract with the organization.
It appears now Pimblett (22-3 MMA, 6-0 UFC) is poised for a breakout year in 2025, and he recently revealed his next matchup is close to being announced. He teased it could possibly come against Michael Chandler, but nothing has been announced.
Whether it’s Chandler or someone else, the 29-year-old Pimblett seems on the cusp of getting the type fights that will make or break him as a top-tier name at 155 pounds.
What is the latest assessment on Pimblett’s ceiling going into a 2025 campaign that could kick off at UFC Fight Night 255 on March 22 in London? MMA Junkie’s Simon Samano and Danny Segura discussed on the latest edition of “Overreaction Time.”
