Even with a Tampa Bay Buccaneers loss on Sunday night, Week 16 was a massive swing after weeks of lackluster bets. Firing out seven plays felt like tilting, but those picks managed to walk a razor’s edge to cash — six wins and a six-unit profit that pulled me even with our resident NFL betting expert, the Rhode Island Scumbag.
Together, we’re up a combined 22 units after 16 weeks of the 2024 regular season. That’s not bad, but there’s more work to be done and a tough stretch left to parse. Which teams will be amped up to play spoiler, like the hard-hitting Dallas Cowboys were last week? Which are about to make business decisions with vacations just two weeks away?

It was fun while it lasted. The lead I enjoyed on Christian is back to zero after an amazing week from him, and a subpar one on my end. This week’s slate is all over the place with games on five different days. I’m going to do my best to pick one game from each day with the exception of Thursday.
I’m looking to get back on track and put myself in a good position as we hit our homestretch in this competition. With the odd schedule adding some volatility this week, I’m playing it safe with all one unit bets. I’ll revisit my strategy next week with a more consistent slate of games.
