Welcome to the Bay Area News Group (Mercury News & East Bay Times) girls Athlete of the Week poll.
For the entire academic year, we will provide a list of candidates who stood out over the previous week and allow you, the reader, to vote for the winner.
This week, we consider performances from Nov. 25-30.
Polls close at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Vote as many times as you’d like until then without using bots or any other artificial methods of voting.
Votes by email and after 5 p.m. Wednesday are not counted.

Winners are announced each Friday online and in the print edition of the Mercury News and East Bay Times sports sections.
Candidates for future Athlete of the Week polls can be nominated at highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com.
We accept nominations until 11 a.m. each Monday.
We also review stats submitted to MaxPreps by coaches/team statisticians.
On to the nominees:
Sofie Addiego, California basketball: The senior scored a team-high 21 points and grabbed five rebounds in a 60-52 victory against Pinole Valley. Addiego averaged 8.4 points per game as a junior last season.
Kinga Czajkowska, Palo Alto cross country: The senior finished second in the CIF Division II state championship race, running the 5,000 meters in 17:31.5 and setting a personal record at Woodward Park in Fresno.
Ella Gunderson, San Ramon Valley basketball: The sophomore scored 18 points and had five rebounds in a victory over Archbishop Riordan. Gunderson also put up 17 points, eight rebounds, eight steals and seven assists against San Marin.
Ruiqi Liu, Menlo School basketball: The senior accumulated 56 points, 27 rebounds, seven assists and 12 steals as Menlo defeated Palo Alto, Watsonville and Fremont-Sunnyvale to open the season.
Mariyah Mahasin, Terra Nova basketball: The senior scored 18 points, had five steals and three blocks in a 39-37 victory over Berkeley.
Ravyn Martin, San Leandro basketball: The forward opened her season with a monster double-double, scoring 23 points and grabbing 15 rebounds to go along with three blocks and a trio of steals in a victory over Dougherty Valley.
Brooke Oliveira, Castilleja cross country: The sophomore placed third in the CIF Division V state championships at Woodward Park. She ran the 5,000-meter race in 17.58.2, a personal record.
Terri’A Russell, Oakland Tech basketball: The highly-touted recruit with offers from major colleges was dominant in her season opener against Pleasant Valley, scoring 21 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the win.
Gelenna Smithers, Heritage basketball: The senior, a two-year varsity player, scored a team-high 14 points to go with four rebounds and four steals in a victory over Oakland.
Alex Tuohy, Willow Glen soccer: The sophomore goalkeeper had 13 saves against Gilroy in a Thursday match on the road.
