The UNLV Rebels (8-2) take on the San Jose State Spartans (6-4) on Friday at 10 p.m. ET, in a battle between a pair of excellent wideouts in Ricky White III and Nick Nash.
The Rebels took down the San Diego State Aztecs 41-20 in their most recent game. The Spartans’ last game was a 42-21 loss to the Boise State Broncos. In that matchup with the Aztecs, Hajj-Malik Williams had 244 yards on 20-of-29 passing (69.0%) for the Rebels, with one touchdown and no interceptions. He also carried the ball 10 times for 29 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Greg Burrell totaled 58 rushing yards on 10 carries (5.8 yards per carry), scoring one touchdown on the ground. Jacob De Jesus led the receiving charge against the Aztecs, catching seven passes for 75 yards. Walker Eget went 34-for-50 with 446 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions for the Spartans against the Broncos. Floyd Chalk IV put together a 13-carry, 37-yard game (2.8 yards per attempt). Justin Lockhart caught 10 passes on 16 targets for 172 yards (17.2 yards per reception), and scored one touchdown.
