One of the top wide receivers in college football will be on display when Ja’Corey Brooks and the Louisville Cardinals (3-2) take on the Virginia Cavaliers (4-1) on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
The Cardinals enter the matchup after losing 34-27 to the SMU Mustangs in their last game on Oct. 5. Last time out, the Cavaliers defeated the Boston College Eagles 24-14. Against the Mustangs, Tyler Shough led the Cards with 329 yards on 22-of-35 passing (62.9%) for two touchdowns and one interception. Isaac Brown carried the ball 10 times for 117 yards (11.7 yards per carry). He also had five receptions for 44 yards. Brooks led the receiving charge against the Mustangs, catching three passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Anthony Colandrea put up 179 passing yards while going 15-for-26 with one touchdown and no interceptions for the Cavs against the Eagles. He added eight carries for 23 yards. Kobe Pace carried the ball 19 times for 83 yards (4.4 yards per attempt). In the passing game, he added one catch for 29 yards. Malachi Fields had 63 yards through the air after four catches (on six targets), with one touchdown.
