León is coming off a 2-2 draw against Tigres UANL on Sept. 27. Alfonso Alvarado and Jaine Barreiro scored goals in the match and it looked like León was on its way to a win before Tigres’s Juan Brunetta evened the match in the 90th minute.
Club América is coming off a 1-0 loss to Pumas. Despite a 12-5 edge in total shots and a 5-4 edge in shots on target, Club América was unable to get a ball into the net. To add insult to injury, the team lost Richard Sanchez to a red card during second-half stoppage time, which means he will have to miss Saturday’s game.
