Horse racing tips: Templegate’s NAP makes a quick return and is in top form

TEMPLEGATE’S Monday tips are below.

SOLAR ACLAIM (3.55 Windsor, nap)

Relished a slog in the mud when returning to winning ways at Goodwood on Wednesday. This is a quick return but he’s in top form and conditions are again in his favour. Given the authority of his last win it would be a huge surprise if he’s not able to cope with a 6lb penalty.

PELLITORY (2.10 Windsor, nb)

Was an unlucky loser when only just held in a competitive nursery over a mile at Doncaster last time. He pulled far too hard and had nothing left for the finish. He will relish a drop back to six furlongs and trainer James Owen could not be in better form. The only worry is the testing ground.

HARTSWOOD (6.00 Wolverhampton, treble)

Might have been a shade fortunate to win at Doncaster last time but the form looks very solid. The runner-up has since won a decent contest at Newmarket on Thursday and a 3lb rise could underestimate him considering he has won off higher marks in the past.
