On Monday, after failing to medal on the balance beam at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Team USA gymnast posted a hysterical, self-deprecating video about the whole situation. For context, there’s a slew of comically bad sports failure videos all over TikTok. Current and former athletes are sharing behind-the-scenes footage of themselves falling, faceplanting and totally botching routines.
The best part is that they’ve added the Olympics’ theme music to the clips and captioned them with variations of one phrase: “Sad to announce I didn’t qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.” Suni is now in on the trend and shared her blunder on the Olympic stage. Well-played, Suni.
