For the third time, women’s flyweight champion Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko will do battle at UFC 306 as they look to settle the score in their spirited rivalry.
This will mark the third consecutive time that Grasso (16-3-1 MMA, 8-3-1 UFC) and Shevchenko (23-4-1 MMA, 12-3-1 UFC) will square off inside the cage.
Their first fight took place in March 2023, with Grasso pulling off a massive upset by submitting Shevchenko with a face crank in the fourth round to claim the 125-pound title at UFC 285. Six months later, Grasso, the UFC’s first female Mexican champion, and Shevchenko headlined the inaugural Noche UFC event to celebrate Mexican Independence Day, with the hotly contested fight ending in a split draw.
Now one year later, Grasso and Shevchenko will meet in a highly anticipated trilogy bout in the Noche UFC co-main event. This encounter comes on the heels of the two women serving as opposing coaches on the current season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”
FanDuel released the odds for the bout, with the fight listed as just about a pick ’em. Grasso is listed -120, with Shevchenko -106.
