Bridget Kean had herself a web gem this weekend. In fact, it might have been the best catch on any diamond at all over the past three days.
Special stuff from Kean, who is part of the South Carolina team participating in the Senior League Softball World Series. The South Carolina squad won the regional qualifier to advance to the World Series in Delaware.
This catch has everything: reflexes, reaction and athleticism. She fully extends and dives, coming up with the ball off a rocket of a hit. The center fielder was nearly in left field by the time she turned up with the ball in her glove.
Her reaction? Simple shaking her head.
Kean’s snag with the first out for South Carolina in the top of the fourth. Besides just the highlight nature of the play from Kean, this was an important out for South Carolina with Hawaii having runners on first and second base.
It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s Bridget Kean in center field!#LLWS pic.twitter.com/q6yChrxBGJ
