JOSH KERR is the 1500m world champion runner who Team GB hopes will bring back a historic gold medal this summer.
The Scotsman shocked the athletics world after his incredible win at the World Athletes Championship in 2023.

His father John was a professional rugby player while his mother Jill played tennis.
Josh played rugby as a kid with his older brother Jake – who went on the represent Scotland.
But after leaving rugby behind at 15, athletics became Kerr’s primary focus.
And while Kerr produced a personal best run of 3:29.05 in the Tokyo final to claim bronze.
Since then, Kerr has only added more silverware to his name, with an incredible gold at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest.
He then made himself impossible to forget this year after breaking Steve Cram’s British mile record that had stood for nearly 40 years with a time of 3:45.34.
And the mid-distance runner is gunning for Team GB’s first gold since Sebastian Coe at the 1984 Olympics.
When asked if he would settle for an Olympic silver now by the BBC Kerr simply replied “Nope.”
Yes, Kerr will be competing in the Paris Olympics.
He will represent Team GB in the Men’s 1500m – as he did in 2021 when he won bronze.
The Games officially kicks off on Friday, July 26 and culminates on Sunday, August 11.
But the 1500m heats will get underway on Friday, August 2.
Followed by the final on Tuesday, August 6.
