That has led to West Ham walking away from discussions and opened the door for Erik ten Hag’s side.
And United are believed to be in “advanced talks” over the move.
That is according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who posted on X: “Noussair #Mazraoui deal with West Ham is OFF!
“No agreement on agent‘s side has been reached. Despite the agreement between the clubs (15,5 + 4) and on player‘s side West Ham now have left the negotiations.
“Manchester United now pushing to sign Mazraoui. Advanced talks.”
The news will come as a bitter blow for new West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui as he looks to add to his three summer signings.
Goalie Wes Foderingham arrived from Sheffield United on a free transfer as well as midfielder Luis Guilherme on a £25m deal from Palmeiras.

The French defender, 18, was United’s second addition under Sir Jim Ratcliffe after Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee arrived from Bologna for £36.5m.
They are also hoping to add another Netherlands international to the ranks as they plot a swoop for PSG star Xavi Simons.
And now Mazraoui, who played under Ten Hag previously at Ajax, could also be joining them.
