But SunSport understands Alexander-Arnold has spoken to new boss Arne Slot and is excited about the new Anfield era.
A source connected to the club said: “Trent’s spoken to the new manager already.
“This took place before the Euros and they’re in touch now.
“They had a great conversation initially but the manager respected that he needed to focus on the tournament.
“Trent, like the rest of the squad, sees this as a new beginning and a fresh start and he is excited to get back to training to lay the foundations for a successful, new season.
“He is definitely committed for the season and a huge deal will be presented to him to stay beyond that.
“Everyone at the club has huge admiration for Trent and will be doing whatever it takes to keep him.

“He’s still got so much more to give.”
Alexander-Arnold, who helped England reach the Euros final earlier this month, has been tipped as a future Liverpool captain.
The defender was made the vice-captain of Liverpool in July 2023 after the departure of Jordan Henderson.
Last season, he played 28 times in the Premier League and scored three goals.
His form was enough to earn him a spot in Gareth Southgate‘s side for Euro 2024.
He made four appearances for the team in Germany, starting twice.
After helping the team to a win over Serbia and Denmark he was dropped in favour of Kobbie Mainoo and had to settle for appearances off the bench.
