The UFC is back this weekend with another exciting Fight Night edition, this time pitting two talented women’s fighters – Amanda Lemos and Virna Jandiroba – up against one another in a women’s strawweight bout.
Lemos is ranked No. 3 in the women’s strawweight rankings while Jandiroba ranks No. 5 in the women’s strawweight rankings. Lemos carries a 14-3-1 record with eight knockout wins to her credit. Jandiroba, meanwhile, is 20-3 heading into this weekend and has 13 submission victories under her belt.
Considering each fighter’s ranking, a win could mean a title shot against the current strawweight women’s champion Zhang Weili, especially if it’s pulled off in a spectacular manner.

Jandiroba is on a three-fight win streak since a late 2021 defeat at the hands of the explosive Amanda Ribas, most recently defeating Loopy Godinez via unanimous judge’s decision in March 2024.
Lemos, on the other hand, already got a strawweight women’s title shot in August 2023, losing to the current champion, Weili. But she bounced back impressively with a resounding victory over Mackenzie Dern in February of this year, setting her up for another potential title shot if she’s able to defeat Jandironba.
Other exciting fights at UFC Fight Night include a middleweight bout between Brad Tavares and Park Jun-yong in the co-main event and a flyweight fight between Cory Durden and Bruno Silva as the second fight of the main card.
