This year’s WNBA All-Star Game takes on a different look as it will pit Team USA against a team of the best WNBA players on Saturday night.
This isn’t the first time that the All-Star Game has taken this format. The format was last used in 2021, when Team WNBA defeated Team USA 93-85. Before that, the WNBA All-Star team last played Team USA in the 2010 event, which the United States won 99-72.
This game will help Team USA warm up for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, where the team is the favorite to win the gold medal. The United States has won the last seven Olympic golds in women’s basketball and nine times overall.
One key storyline to watch will be Clark and Reese, known for their collegiate rivalry, taking the floor as teammates in this contest. It’s likely a preview of what fans will be watching in future years from Team USA.
In addition to the All-Star Game, this weekend will feature the 3-Point and Skills Challenge.
The WNBA 3-Point and Skills Challenge will take place on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
