I’m honestly not sure I’ve seen this before, but I’m sure it’s happened.
In the early rounds of the 2024 World Series of Poker Main Event, we’ve seen one heroic fold that saved a player from losing a ton of chips.
This time, it happened TWICE … and it all happened before a flop came out.
Three players were in, one with pocket Queens (!), one with pocket Kings (!!) and another with pocket Aces (!!!). It could have been trouble for everyone, but as you’ll see, each of them escalates the betting, to the point where there were five bets. Barry Hutter (who had the Kings) realized what he might be facing and smartly got out of the way. BRILLIANT.
Then, Robert Eichele thought it over and folded his Queens. DOUBLY BRILLIANT.
ACES versus KINGS versus QUEENS late on Day 2 in the @WSOP Main Event – but wait, WHAT?!?!
Coverage of Day 3 from the record-setting WSOP Main Event starts today at 6:30P ET/3:30P PT on PokerGO.
