June 27 – Japan have been drawn with Saudi Arabia and Australia in what looks to be the toughest of the third round qualifying groups for the AFC Asian Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The Japanese are looking to qualify for the World Cup for the eighth consecutive time.
The final 18 teams left in qualifying were drawn into three groups of six earlier today in, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Only the top two teams in each group will qualify for the 2026 finals.
