Both the Oklahoma and Oklahoma State softball teams will host NCAA regionals and are seeded in the top five in the NCAA Tournament, therefore in line to host a super regional as well if they win their regional.
Oklahoma is the number 2 overall seed and will host an NCAA regional for the 20th time and 13th time in a row.
The Sooners will play Cleveland State on Friday at 7:00 pm in the first round.
The other first round matchup in Norman will be Boston University against Oregon at 4:30 on Friday.
Oklahoma State is the number 5 overall seed and will host an NCAA regional for the 11th time and fifth time in a row.
The Cowgirls will play Northern Colorado in the first round Friday at 4:30 pm.
The other first round matchup in Stillwater is Michigan against Kentucky at 2:00 pm Friday.
Both OU and OSU have been to each of the last four Women's College World Series.
The Sooners have been to seven in a row and won the last three national championships.
