Mannheimer HC survived a last minute equaliser from Club de Campo de Madrid to eventually reach the FINAL4 via a perfect shoot-out.
It sets up a date with another Spanish side, Junior FC, on Saturday for a place in the final.
Stine Kurz whizzed in a penalty corner in the 13th minute and it remained that way right up until 40 seconds from the end. Campo had many corners in the second half and they eventually found a way through from the last of them in the dying seconds.
Maria Lopez slapped in shot from the top of the circle to make it 1-1 and sent the game to shoot-out – the third time Campo had gone to this deep in a FINAL8 fixture.
But it was the German side who prevailed. They got off to a strong start with Charlotte Gerstenhöfer scoring and Leonie Weissenberger saved.
Kurz and Fiona Felber advanced the score to 3-1 and two further saves from Weissenberger saw them win out, the last of which blocked Lopez.
