After winning the SEC championship game over Georgia, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe paid homage to a former Crimson Tide star in his postgame interview.
While talking with CBS Sports’ Jenny Dell about how he and Alabama defeated Georgia, Milroe provided a variation of some quotes by Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who played for Alabama in college.
Milroe gave his own spins of Hurts’ “Keep the main thing the main thing” and “I had a purpose before everybody had an opinion.” adages, which shows that the respect runs deep for Hurts from Milroe.
If you’re an Alabama fan, you’ve got to love this homage to one of the Crimson Tide’s most notable talents in the NFL.

Hurts also recently showed Milroe some love ahead of his big SEC title game appearance.

“It’s exciting to see what he’s been able to do and taking advantage of his opportunities when his phone rang earlier in the year. Excited for him. Pulling for him, obviously.” pic.twitter.com/OBu2UArYF9

This is really cool to see these two supporting each other, as Hurts tries to guide the Eagles to a Super Bowl win and Milroe just won another SEC title for Alabama.
