Arturo Vidal has sustained a calf injury. Therefore he will sit out tomorrow’s match against Fiorentina.
The Chile international missed Saturday’s home match against Bologna and today, Inter released a further update regarding the midfielder’s fitness.
“Arturo Vidal underwent tests on Monday morning which revealed a strained right calf muscle,” Inter’s official statement read.
“The player will be reassessed in the coming days.”
According to Calciomercato.com, the former Barcelona and Juventus midfielder could return to action on October 2 against Sassuolo.
Vidal, 34, has one goal and one assist in three appearances in all competitions so far this season.
He joined the Nerazzurri in a €1m deal from Barcelona in the summer of 2020.
Inter trashed Bologna 6-1 at the Stadio Meazza on Saturday and will travel to Florence to face Fiorentina tomorrow.
The Nerazzurri are the Serie A table leaders along with Milan, having collected ten points from their opening four games of the season.
However, Napoli could leapfrog both Milanese sides as they face Udinese at the Dacia Arena tonight.
