Jake Paul has no interest in fighting UFC women’s double champ Amanda Nunes.
With YouTuber turned pro boxer Jake Paul running his mouth about just about every fighter in MMA, UFC president Dana White suggested that the 23-year-old step in the octagon to test himself against UFC women’s bantamweight and featherweight champ Amanda Nunes.
Nunes is in, but Paul is currently slated to fight Ben Askren in a boxing match on March 28. But, even if he was offered a better offer, the social media giant said he wouldn’t fight Nunes because, according to him, no one knows who ‘The Lioness’ is.
“Nah, I wouldn’t fight her,” Jake told TMZ Sports . “Waste of time. No one knows who she is.”
“There’s not a lot of hype there. Plus, there’s no history.”
Paul says he has bigger fish to fry in Dillon Danis and Conor McGregor, both of whom train at SBG Ireland but compete in different organizations, with the former fighting in Bellator and ‘The Notorious’ competing under the UFC banner.
“I wanna knock out Dilon because we’ve been talkin’ s**t back and forth for 2 years, I’ve hooked up with his girlfriend, he’s all butt-hurt about it, there’s history there. So, why would I waste my time doing some bulls**t like [boxing Nunes?],” he said.
Paul recently attacked Danis in a balloon drive-by while the latter was being interviewed by Brendan Schaub in Los Angeles, with Paul shouting “hey look, it’s Conor McGregor’s bitch right there!” before pelting the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu world champion with a flurry of water balloons. Paul quickly sped off in his truck before Danis could catch him.
Paul is expected to fight Askren under Mike Tyson’s Legends Only League on March 28 in LA.
