December 21 – Premier League Leeds United are selling a further 15% stake to the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers in a deal that will reportedly value the club at £240 million, and take their stake to 25%.
Paraag Marathe, the president of 49ers Enterprises, has sat on the Leeds United board since 2018 when they acquired an initial 10% for £10 million.
Both Marathe and Leeds United majority owner Andrea Radrizzani have said that they hoped and expected the 49ers to increase their stake in the club.
