Earlier today the East Japan Boxing Association held their latest regular meeting, doing so online, and three relatively small but notable stories came from the meeting.
The first of those is that the New Japan Kimura Gym will appoint a new chairmen, Hideyuki Kimura, who has been approved by the board.
A second story is that the Numata Gym, which was run by former world champion Yoshiaki Numata, would be withdrawing from the East Japan Boxing Association. This was due to the failing health of the 75 year old Numata. The gym will continue to run however.
And thirdly Takuya Kitani, from the Ambition Gym, has been warned due to the fact
Daigo Higa (16-1-1, 16) [比嘉 大吾] was filmed sparring at a fitness gym that is not a member of the association, breaching association rules on "preparing an appropriate training environment".
