Dancing With the Stars producers watched the fervor over the 2024 Olympics with their faces pressed against the glass, muttering to each other about all the things they would do once the Games were over and the athletes became normal B-list celebrities again. On August 22, ABC showed off the first contestant making his non-Olympic debut, and it is (drumroll please) … Pommel-Horse Guy! By which we of course mean Stephen Nedoroscik, the male gymnast who specializes in two things: (1) pommel horse and (2) making hearts melt when he takes off his thick-rimmed glasses. We hope he’s able to get the hang of multiple dance styles instead of just being a specialist in “Viennese waltz.”
The rest of the cast will join Nedoroscik on September 4, and we can’t wait to see which disgraced politician joins in the fun this time around. We’re obviously expecting George Santos (if the law allows). Season 33 of DWTS premieres September 17, with hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro. Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough are back as judges, and we’re hoping that, despite the presence of an Olympic gymnast, there’s no controversy over bronze.
