Savant has announced that the Consumer Technology Association has named JC Murphy, chief commercial officer at Savant Systems, Inc., to its Smart Home Division Board of Directors.
In his role at Savant, Murphy drives revenue growth, market share, and commercial strategy for traditional lighting, smart home, and smart energy in both the professionally installed and the do-it-yourself (DIY) channels.
Savant’s DIY GE-branded lighting and smart home products are sold at 52,000 brick and mortar retail locations and online in North America through GE Lighting, a Savant company. Savant and GE-branded professional smart home and energy products are sold globally through an extensive dealer network of authorized integrators.
“We are thrilled that Savant is joining CTA’s Smart Home Division Board,” said Melissa Matalon, Vice President, Membership, CTA. “As a recognized leader in both smart home and smart power solutions, Savant will help CTA and our members continue to drive innovation in smart home technologies and shape the future of the industry.”
“As more and more consumers purchase smart home technologies for the first time, it’s incredibly important to the health and growth of our industry that we create exceptional experiences across the value chain,” said Murphy. “I’m looking forward to partnering with fellow board members to help ensure our industry continues to evolve and prosper in the short term with an eye on long term success.”
