JBL Begins Rollout Of Next-Gen Headphone, Earbud Lines

JBL has seemingly changed out its entire consumer headphone and earbud lineup for 2026, announcing 19 new models across usage cases and price ranges, with many featuring newly refined open-air technology to increase situational awareness without compromising sonics.

“JBL’s first open sound model, the JBL Soundgear Sense, was released in 2023 and quickly became a favorite among consumers who want an open style without compromising audio performance,” notes Carsten Olesen, president of Harman’s Consumer Audio division. “Since then, we’ve been working to refine the listening experience and are eager to offer more options to consumers. Our JBL OpenSound air-conduction technology provides all-day comfort, a secure fit, and high-quality audio with minimal sound leakage.”

Most of the new JBL headphone and earbud products will be available in multiple colors, and all will roll out across the first half of this year.

Budget Tunes

JBL’s budget Tune line includes new wireless and wired headphone and earphone models. The headphones all feature JBL’s Pure Bass Sound drivers and will be available in June, except that the two cabled earphones are available this month:

• JBL Tune 780NC ($149.95): wireless headphone with 40mm drivers, 76 hours of playtime, Bluetooth 6.0/LE Audio, spatial sound; available in black, white, blue, lavender, beige
• JBL Tune 680NC ($109.95): wireless headphone with 32mm drivers, 76 hours, BT 6.0/LE Audio, spatial sound; black, white, blue
• JBL Tune 730BT ($89.95): wireless headphone with 40mm drivers, 76 hours, BT 6.0/LE Audio; black, white, blue, lavender, beige
• JBL Tune 530BT (59.95): 33mm drivers, BT 6.0/LE Audio76 hours; black, white, blue, lavender
• JBL Tune 530 Wired ($34.95): 33mm drivers, foldable, flat cable; blue, white
• JBL Tune 530C – USB-C ($44.95): 33mm drivers, Hi-Res Audio, remote, flat cable; blue, white
• JBL Tune 235BT ($39.95): wireless cabled earbuds, 12.5mm drivers
• JBL Tune 135BT ($39.95): 8.6mm drivers

Endurance Open-Ear Sports Line

All these sports wireless models feature more secure over-the-ear hook designs, IP sweat and weather resistance, and will roll out in January and February.

• Endurance Zone ($179.95): hook-over-ear open ear bud, JBL OpenSound tech, 8 hours playtime, charging case, IP68; black/gray, white
• Endurance Peak 4 ($129.95): hook-over-ear, 12- (no ANC)/8- (with ANC) hour playtime, IP68; black/gray, white, purple
• Endurance Pace ($89.95): JBL OpenSound tech, 10 hours, IP68; black/gray
• Endurance Run 3 USB-C ($34.95): wired “flip hook”, IP65; black/gray
• Endurance Run 3 3.5mm ($24.95): wired “flip hook”, IP65; black/gray

Sense and Soundgear Open Sound

Both JBL’s two next-gen OpenSound Sense hooked earphones, the Sense Pro ($199.95) and the Sense Lite ($149.95), provide more outdoor situational awareness, along with the ear clip Soundgear Clip ($149.95), are equipped with JBL’s air-conduction open air technology and four mics for clearer calls.

The Sense Pro offers Hi-Res Audio compatibility with adaptive bass boost, Bluetooth 6.0, touch control, and 8 hours of playtime on a single charge and 38 total hours via case recharges.

The Sense Lite is IP54 water- and dust-resistant with BT 5.4 and 32 total hours of playtime, as is the Soundgear Clips.

Both Sense models and the Soundgear Clip will be available in March.

Quantum for Gamers

There are three new additions to JBL’s Quantum headphone lineup, all featuring 50mm carbon dynamic speakers, and replaceable noise canceling boom mics, cushions, earcup cover, and hammocks:

• Quantum 950X ($399.95, April): connect via either 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or Bluetooth 5.3, spatial sound with 3D head tracking, and 50 hours of playtime via two rechargeable batteries
• Quantum 650X ($199.95, April): also connect via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, offer 45 hours of rechargeable power, and spatial sound.
• Quantum 250 ($79.95, March): connected via a 3.5mm cable; available in either black or white
