Review: EyeVac Air

The EyeVac Air 2-In-1 Air Purifier/Deodorizer & Automatic Dustpan is one of those products that makes you tilt your head at first. It’s a stationary vacuum and an air purifier – basically a countertop appliance for your floor. You sweep debris toward it, it inhales the mess, and then it filters the air you just stirred up. EyeVac Air isn’t trying to replace your upright vacuum or robot. It wants to be the cleanup tool for crumbs, hair, dust, and small debris that accumulate between deeper cleanings. But after spending time with it, the concept starts to click in the way a good small appliance does: not flashy, not revolutionary, but useful in an everyday, “why didn’t we already have this?” kind of way.

Features

At its core, the EyeVac Air is built around a simple idea: make sweeping less annoying. The stationary vacuum uses infrared sensors to detect motion when you sweep debris toward the front of the unit, automatically triggering suction. There’s no bending over, no dustpan balancing act, and no chasing that last stubborn line of crumbs across the floor. Power comes from a 1,000-watt motor, and the design is clearly intended for hard floors rather than rugs or carpet. The EyeVac Air works best for the kind of small, frequent messes that don’t justify pulling out a full-size vacuum, and is also great for homes with shedding pets.

What separates the EyeVac Air from earlier models is the addition of air purification. Inside the unit is a dual-filter system made up of a True HEPA H13 filter and an activated carbon filter. The HEPA layer targets fine airborne particles, such as dust, pet dander, and pollen, while the carbon filter focuses on everyday odors from cooking, pets, or trash.

EyeVac claims the system captures up to 99.7% of particles as small as 0.3 microns and is rated for rooms up to about 600 square feet. In Auto mode, the purifier runs automatically after vacuuming, which makes sense as sweeping tends to kick dust into the air, and this attempts to deal with that side effect rather than ignore it.

From a usability standpoint, the EyeVac Air keeps things straightforward. Controls are clearly labeled, switching between automatic vacuuming, manual operation, and purification modes. The debris canister is bagless and easy to remove, with indicator lights that signal when it’s time to empty or replace filters.

Like any air purifier, ongoing maintenance matters here – filters will need replacing over time to maintain performance. And while the purifier and vacuum each have limits on their own, together they form a system that feels well thought out for daily maintenance cleaning rather than deep cleans or whole-home air treatment.

Our Testing Experience

TWICE was able to test out this hybrid cleaning/air purification device and found that it worked well in our test kitchen. Set up was as easy as removing the packaging and plugging the unit in. The separate touch controls for the dustpan and air purifier were responsive, and both can be set for manual or automatic use, and you can adjust the air purifier’s three fan speeds.

Dual function is the EyeVac Air’s biggest draw. The fact that it vacuums and purifies is genuinely useful when you consider the amount of dust stirred up during sweeping. For households with pets or allergy concerns, the HEPA + carbon filter combo is smart. And because the purifier works continuously (or after sweeps), it can help improve air quality throughout the day. Additionally, the debris canister is bagless and easy to remove, and indicator lights signal when it’s time to empty or replace filters.

We did jump at first when we walked by the EyeVac Air when it was set to Automatic. The loud sucking sound can be disruptive, and we recommend only setting it to that setting when you are actively sweeping. Our cat was also startled by the sudden activation. If you want to keep it on Automatic all the time, we suggest setting the unit up in a less-trafficked area of the home.

After a couple of weeks, we found that using the EyeVac Air was simple, convenient, and time-saving – especially since we did not have to haul out a full-size vacuum for crumbs under the kitchen table or to gather pet hair in a high-traffic hallway. We particularly enjoyed not having to bend over to sweep up the debris and dust when cleaning.

Verdict

EyeVac Air is a great secondary cleaning tool – not a replacement for a full vacuuming routine, but a clever supplement for day-to-day tidying, particularly for those with mobility or back issues, or who just hate chasing that last strip of dust that just won’t go into the dustpan. The air-purification function adds a subtle but noticeable improvement in dust and airborne particles. If you find yourself needing an easier way to clean up pet hair, crumbs, and dust off your kitchen or salon floors, we recommend the EyeVac Air.
