Real Madrid haven't dropped their pursuit of Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.
The Daily Star Sunday says Real Madrid will dig deeper to finally land De Gea for £40m at the end of the season.
The move was confirmed by club sources, who said: “Real Madrid will not attempt to sign David De Gea in the January window. But the club is proposed to sign him in the summer for next season."
De Gea, 25, signed a new four year contract at Old Trafford just 10 days after last summer's failed £29m move to the Bernabeu.
But now the Spanish giants – who have confirmed they will NOT return for United's No.1 in January – are plotting a megabucks deal once his club's turbulent campaign ends.
