Former NAC Breda coach Marinus Dijkhuizen has dismissed claims of pressure from Manchester City that their loan players must play at least 50 per cent of the club's games in a season. The allegation has appeared in Football Leaks, but Dijkhuizen rubbishes the claims."Naturally, NAC had an interest in making them play, but I was never obliged to select a City player," he told BN DeStem. "I always had control over the selection, otherwise, of course, I would have stopped immediately."We did not think Ashley Smith-Brown was good enough, while Brandon Barker was often on the bench, but if a player does not play, like David Faupala, he could be taken back by City."This season, NAC have Erik Palmer-Brown, Luka Ilic and Paolo Fernandes on-loan from City.
