As anyone who has moved knows, it works best if you move things one piece at a time. In this scan of a Blade archive photo taken by photographer Don Simmons, a helicopter hoists half of the landmark Owens-Illinois sign from its old headquarters in downtown Toledo on May 19, 1979. The Owens half of the sign was the first to be moved. The dismantling operation took more than an hour.
