The Sylvania school board has placed on the May ballot a massive tax levy increase. While it is understandable that costs increase with time, residents should raise some questions. The prior year the district was the beneficiary of an unvoted increase in tax revenue because of the property re-evaluation. They have conveniently managed to not reveal the funds gained by this windfall.
