Last week’s State of the Union was one of those moments that reminds you why you love this country. Seeing the U.S. men’s hockey team standing proudly in the chamber, recognized for their Olympic gold, was simply awesome. It was even better watching the overwhelming majority of the joint session rise to applaud them. In a time when politics can feel divided, that moment cut through everything. It reminded us that when Americans compete, sacrifice, and work together — we win. That same spirit defined the President’s address.
