On Saturday, the Toledo Center for Live Arts will host another special collaboration, this time between local band Chloe and the Steel Strings and a string quartet from the Toledo Symphony. The six piece Steel Strings, which consist of Chloe Ward on lead vocals, rhythm guitar, and mandolin, Connor Ward on bass, harmonies, and guitar, Pete Rodriguez on lead guitar, Eric Stuehr on lead guitar, and Anna Garrison on keys and harmonies, describe themselves as a “Cosmic Americana” band that plays psychedelic folk rock. They play extensively locally and have a strong presence in the Cleveland area as well, where they will play the House of Blues on Nov. 28. The string quartet will feature Merwin Siu and Cheryl Trace on violin, Reed Anderson on viola, and Robert Clemens on cello. The performance begins at 7 p.m. in the Robert Bell Studio at the Center for Live Arts, which is located at 4747 Heatherdowns Blvd. Visit artstoledo.com for information about tickets. VIP options are available that include a pre-show meet and greet, priority seating, drink tickets, and a signed poster.
