This past weekend, on a rare Saturday with no specific plans, I went on a shopping excursion to the Toledo Farmers’ Market and to Rhodes’ Garden Fresh market. I am inevitably tempted and seduced by so many beautiful items at both places that I’m never quite sure, as I first survey everything spread over my kitchen counters, what to do with it all. Some is eaten fresh, some makes its way into baked goods, and the rest has to get tucked away in the freezer for another time.
