A Prayer For Women On International Women’s Day
On this International Women’s Day, finding peace starts with surrendering our worries to the universe and trusting that God’s guidance will meet us in the middle of our uncertainty. Best-selling author of Finding God Every Day, Rebecca Simon, reminds women to trust God’s timing, embrace patience, and lean on His presence through every season of life.
Today we celebrate the women who keep showing up — even when they’re tired, even when the world feels heavy, even when no one sees how much they’re carrying. The women who love deeply, work quietly, hold families together, chase dreams, and keep believing in something better.
Dear God,
Today I lift up every woman — the ones who are strong even when they feel tired, the ones who carry responsibilities quietly, and the ones who are still learning to believe in the strength you placed inside them. You see the work they do that the world often overlooks. You see the courage it takes simply to keep showing up each day.
Remind her that she was created with intention. That her voice, her compassion, her wisdom, and her resilience were never accidents. When the world tries to make her doubt herself, help her remember that her worth does not come from approval, comparison, or perfection – it comes from being someone you created with love and purpose.
When she feels overwhelmed by expectations, give her peace. When she feels unseen, remind her that nothing she does in love is ever invisible to you. Strengthen her heart in the moments when she questions whether she is enough.
And if she is walking through a season where she feels uncertain or discouraged, guide her gently forward. Let her know that the strength she needs will meet her along the way. That she does not have to carry everything alone.
Bless the women who are nurturing others, the women who are building new paths, and the women who are still discovering who they are meant to become.
Amen.
