A coalition of House Democrats has begun proceedings to force a vote to restore net neutrality protections. The discharge petition, introduced by Rep. So Silicon Valley is back at trying to fix blood tests again — one of the few parts of health care that doesn’t need fixing.

People have tried to trademark a lot of weird stuff over the years, from celebratory poses to the Tarzan yell to, literally, the word “cocky.” So it’s actually kind of surprising that it took Hasbro 27 years of owning the Play-Doh brand before the company attempted to corner the market on that weird, yeasty, almost-food smell that has compelled generations of children to tentatively lick their (non-toxic!) mush toy over the years. President Donald Trump has personally asked the Postmaster General Megan Brennan to double the rate the US Postal Service charges companies like Amazon to use its services, according to a report from The Washington Post today. The move is just the latest, and perhaps most dramatic, turn in the ongoing feud between the sitting president and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world and owner of The Washington Post. Thirty-five iOS developers have formed a group to call on Apple for better treatment of app developers, starting with an expansion of its free trial policy by the time the company celebrates the 10th anniversary of the mobile software marketplace this July. Eventually, the coalition says it wants to demand Apple negotiate better terms for App Store revenue cuts, which have remained at a 70-30 split since the advent of the store in 2008.

Google is reportedly working on a standalone augmented reality headset that will use new Qualcomm chips. It will be built by Taiwanese computer maker Quanta. The project is still in its early stages, according to documents obtained by WinFuture.

You can now skip the Netflix intros that you only watch at the start of a season with your Chromecast. This feature has been available on desktop and mobile devices for a while, but it’s only now debuting for Chromecast users, as pointed out by a tipster at Android Police.

On the morning of March 15th, YouTube influencer Casey Neistat received a text from a co-worker: a stranger had shown up at 368, his co-working space for YouTube creators, and refused to leave. Cellphone footage captured from the incident shows vlogger Dan Mace and former Verge employee Sam Sheffer repeatedly asking the man to leave. “Ultimately, the police did have to come,” Neistat says in a vlog uploaded later. “We did file a proper police report here. Fortnite is everywhere. After starting life as a not-especially-popular survival game, Fortnite blossomed into a full-blown cultural phenomenon once it added a battle royale mode, mimicking the success of PUBG. Epic Games’ massively popular battle royale game Fortnite is coming to Android phones this summer, the company announced in a developer blog post this morning. The post, titled “The State of Mobile,” broke down a number of new features the game’s mobile team has been working on. Those include a customizable HUD, which launched earlier this week, and a new voice chat function exclusively for mobile.

HBO and Sky have announced they’re launching a new documentary series called The Case Against Adnan Syed directed by Academy Award nominee Amy Berg. Adnan Syed was convicted in 2000 for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, 18-year-old high school student Hae Min Lee.
