SAM Thompson has confirmed he is still living in the mansion he shared with Zara McDermott following their shock split.
The I’m A Celebrity winner, 32, revealed his whereabouts after making a very upbeat return to social media following his break-up with Zara.
In a new video, Sam put on a brave face and ran down the street with his hood up.
Grinning, he told his army of fans that they are set to have a “really good week”.
Sam said: “It maybe raining. There might be ice sheets of rain in my eyeballs right now but I can feel that you’re going to have a really good day.
“You’re going to have a really good week. And I’m never wrong, I promise you. Let’s have it!”
Sam quickly plugged the new episode of his and Pete Wicks‘ podcast Staying Relevant, adding: “Pete’s in a really good mood for this one.”
Minutes later, Sam posted a picture of his and 28-year-old Zara’s pet cat Albus.
The fluffy Ragdoll is sitting on a plush cream bed in the couple’s shared home, confirming he is still living there.
Just two weeks ago, a snap of the same bed was shared on Sam and Zara’s joint Instagram account, The Thompson Project.
The couple set up the profile to document the refurbishment of their massive West London property, which is located next door to Sam’s sister Louise Thompson’s house.
A caption on the bed post, which was uploaded on Christmas Eve, said: “Bedroom transformation coming v soon. for now… here’s a sneak peak merry Christmas everyone Xxxx.”
It was confirmed on New Year’s Day that Made In Chelsea star Sam and Zara, who found fame on Love Island, had split following a five-year romance.
The couple, who did not spend Christmas together, ended their relationship after “growing apart’.
Zara was spotted looking glum in a posh coffee shop in Putney, South West London, on Christmas Eve.
Then, just hours before the split was announced, she flew to France and spent time in Paris with a female pal.
The Sun On Sunday has revealed the couple split ‘weeks ago’, adding that Strictly Come Dancing star Zara wanted to “get away from it all”.
A source said: “It’s been a tough time for Zara. The trip to Paris just helped her get away from it all.
“Zara just wants to try to focus on work and get herself together. They split some time before it officially emerged and she is now living apart from him.”
The couple were last pictured together celebrating Zara’s birthday in December.
At the time, Sam called her his “soulmate” in a post online and said: “I’m afraid you’re stuck with me forever.”
But a source said: “Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. It’s been an incredibly difficult decision for them.
“They still have a lot of love for each other. There has been no scandal or fallout, it’s just the result of a difficult year where they both spent a lot of time on their own projects.”
